Cute Halloween Craft

Are you getting in the mood for Halloween yet? Creating Keepsakes has a few really great tips for getting perfect Halloween pictures, and here's a decorating idea from Making Memories that is quick and simple but very cute.

Celebrate the Season with Treats for You!
We borrowed a little inspiration from our own "Decorate Life: Celebrations" book to share this treat-filled project with you. Using a basic glass jar, a few Making Memories Rub-ons, and a bag of your favorite candy, you can create this festive dispenser in a matter of minutes.

Here's how:
Clean glass vase
List Halloween words for use on vase
Start on one side and work your way around, placing a mixture of rub-on sizes, styles, and colors
Overlap some words to create a continuous effect
Fill jar half-way with candy corn or other treats
Enjoy!
For more great ideas for throwing your own Halloween party, check out the Making Memories blog every Thursday this month!

Scrapbook LifeStyle Video

I'm sure most of you have heard about Scrapbooking ETC. If you don't it's a wonderful scrapbooking magazine put together by Better Homes and Gardens, and one of the things that I love about them is their LifeStyle videos. I couldn't do them justice even if I tried but I can tell you that I always pick up something new I have to try. Today they have Wendy Reed who designed with Urban Lily and Queen & Company. There's lots of really cute ideas and inspiration.

Don't forget about our referral contest going on right now. It will end tomorrow at 11:59 pm so check out the details here and then go tell all your friends about Scrapping 365.

Another great source....

for sketches is Becky Fleck's sketches found at Page Maps. The great thing about sketches is that they can spark an idea but it's so easy to turn that idea into something that is completely you.

I did a LO today using one of her October sketches. I'm gonna show a picture of the Becky Fleck sketch first and then my version of the sketch.

Her sketches are a lot of fun an she creates a ton of them each month. Sometimes she includes special sketches with her regular monthly sketches. This month it was mini sketches.

Don't forget that Pencil Lines has a new sketch up today and don't forget to check out our referral contest.
